這名「希臘怪物」在比賽最後一刻背框單打尼克後衛Lance Thomas，一路從右側底線慢慢運至罰球線才後仰跳投出手，時間終了時球剛好入網，漂亮地幫助公鹿以105比104絕殺尼克。
包含最後致勝2分在內，Antetokounmpo全場拿下27分13籃板，並曾在比賽中上演一次幾乎於罰球線起跳的快攻灌籃，技驚全場。
「我們在第四節開局時有很大的優勢，但我們輕易將它浪費掉了，這場比賽根本就不應該走到這（被絕殺）地步。」在最後負責防守Antetokounmpo的Thomas賽後表示。
尼克在打完前3節時還握有14分領先，但公鹿在第四節靠著Antetokounmpo和Greg Monroe搶分，加上老將Jason Terry外線開砲，單節打出32比17攻勢，成功逆轉。
Carmelo Anthony為尼克貢獻30分11籃板7助攻的全面表現，但還是無法讓球隊避免6連敗的困境，賽後他相當失望：「這是場讓人很難接受的比賽。」
Derrick Rose攻下15分，至於Kristaps Porzingis則是因為左腳阿基里斯腱痠痛連續第3場比賽作壁上觀。
